Faros Health ENLIGHT offers much more than a typical health plan search tool. It provides detailed quality data, cost estimates for your entire episode of care, and patient experience scores. Plus, ENLIGHT is unbiased, giving you a comprehensive view of all your care options.

Can I search for care in other areas, outside of where I live?

Yes, you can change the area of your search by entering the city or zip code in the location field on the home screen. If we are unable to geolocate where you are, the platform will default to the address associated with your account, which you can see in User Settings within your profile.

You can use ENLIGHT to search for providers that provide service specific procedures or conditions. If you have not been diagnosed or prescribed care you can also find primary care providers, specialists, or different facilities to meet your needs.

Can I schedule appointments directly through Faros Health?

While you can't schedule appointments directly through the platform, you can easily reach the provider’s office by clicking the “Contact Provider” button on their profile card. Alternatively, you can follow the link to their website to schedule online.

Is the Faros Health ENLIGHT platform HIPAA compliant?

What is the Faros Health Total Value Score and how is it calculated?

The Faros Health Total Value Score gives you a clear, overall picture of the quality and affordability of different healthcare providers. We calculate this score by analyzing billions of historical medical claims to see how well a provider's patients typically recover (Clinical Quality) and how their costs compare to others (Cost Efficiency). We also gather patient reviews from over 15 sources to understand the experiences people have had with the provider and their staff (Patient Satisfaction). By combining these factors, we create a single score that shows the overall "value" of care you can expect—a balance of quality, cost, and patient experience. This helps you make well-informed decisions about your healthcare.

How is provider clinical quality determined?

Our Clinical Quality measure uses billions of historical medical claims to assess the outcomes for a provider’s previous patients. These outcome measures look at adverse events (i.e. infections, readmissions and mortality) in addition to Global Appropriateness Measures (GAM) showing that prescribed care is necessary and effective. All measures are specific to the providers region, specialty, and patient population to ensure they are being assessed objectively and fairly.

Where does the patient experience data come from?

Our patient experience data is sourced from over 15 different review and rating sources ranging from publicly available websites to health insurance tools.

How accurate are the cost estimates?

Highly accurate. We analyze billions of medical claims to provide cost breakdowns tailored to the provider’s typical patient journey and rates specific to your health plan. However, since every patient is unique and may need different services, these are still estimates. Actual costs may vary, and coverage is not guaranteed.

How often is information on the platform updated?

Much of the data on our platform is updated daily to ensure you have the most current information. Insurance data, including your deductible spend progress, is refreshed monthly. Additionally, our historical claims data set is updated quarterly to keep our analysis accurate and based on the latest medical claims.

Where does the education in the platform come from?

Our education is developed in-house by subject matter experts, then reviewed and approved by one or more practicing healthcare professionals.

Can I save or bookmark my favorite providers?

Yes, you can add any provider to your Care Team by clicking the Add to Care Team button on their profile. You can review your Care Team and your dependents Care-Teams by going to your profile in the top right of the screen.

What should I do if my provider is not listed, or their information isn’t correct?

Accuracy is important to us! Please let us know by filling out the Contact Us form and we will follow up as soon as possible. It also may be the case that your provider is out-of-network, in which case their profile will not be prioritized in the search results.

Can a provider update their own information?

The platform is exclusively accessible to individuals who have Faros Health ENLIGHT as an employer-sponsored benefit. If a provider needs to update their information, we encourage them to reach out to us directly at support@faroshealth.com with any questions or requests for updates to their profiles.

Can my company see what I am searching for?

No, your employer will never see any of your search information tied to your personal identity. To help manage benefits more effectively, your company may access high-level data summaries that show general trends in the types of care the organization as a whole is accessing, but without any identifiable details.
